Dear Visitors,
Welcome to the Diamond Sky Productions forum. This space has been created to encourage discussion and exploration among interested individuals into the intersection between science and the public sphere. The fruits of scientific inquiry underly almost every aspect of modern life, and our future prosperity rests on having a citizenry well versed in the role played by science in our daily lives. My fond wish is that the posts to come within this form are far ranging and insightful, and if they offer suggestions as to what Diamond Sky Productions might do to enhance the public's understanding and enjoyment of science, all the better.
Warmly,
Carolyn Porco |

Greatings right back to you Carolyn,
I have to say that I'm honored to be apart of this web site and CICLOPS as well. After reading your BIO today I about fell out of my seat, and I thought I had it tough. How do you keep up with every thing you do? How do you find the time to do all you do? I have just enough enegery to do an 9 hr a day job and come home to fix a meal and fall asleep on the couch... but that is beside the point.
I too am a hugh Star Trek fan myself, I have all the movies on DVD, but I'm not one of those who goes out and make a coustum and dresses up like some alien. But when I read that you have been added as a consultant to the next Star Trek project I just had to read more. I have a feeling this next movie is going to some thing to see. With your expertise in imageing and the planets, moons and every thing you know about space the look of this next movie is going to knock poeples socks off... I can almost bet you.
Now for the rest of you guys and girls out there lets see if we can help Carolyn get this web site off the ground and into space where it belongs...
End of transmission:

Hi Carolyn,
I found the link to here from your post @ The BA's blog. Not sure what I'll have to offer but time will tell. I do have a brain. Any how Orion was a snap to pick out in your logo ;^) |

Hi to you too, and congrats on the ST gig. I also noticed Orion, but wondered if the other stars are "random" dots. Knowing how the mind works, nothing it comes up with is "random."
Keep the ST folks real. |
